...Hear the Hebrew Alphabet Come Alive

About Us

Sarah and David Interactive was founded by Lily Yacobi, a businesswoman with a fresh concept about how to teach Hebrew.  Her mother Diana Yacobi, an educational director of a metropolitan New York synagogue school and published author on topics of Jewish education, soon joined her in this educational venture.

The crystallizing ‘ah ha’ moment came for this mother/daughter team when they realized that:
“You typically see a lot of squirmy, struggling kids in Hebrew reading classrooms. Let’s energize the aleph bet and bring Hebrew back to life!”

Now they have a successful media company specializing in Hebrew reading, writing and language… that’s perfectly fun.

Sarah & David FamilyChildren can understand their easy and involving lessons; parents joyfully help them practice; teachers are happy to get the concepts across so readily. There is music, (even rap in Hebrew!) laughter, brain teasers, puzzles, plays on words and a delicious sort of purposeful delight throughout. As a result, Hebrew letters are transformed - changing from foreign objects to friendly, famliar objects in their own right.

The founders believe that Hebrew reading is central to Jewish identity and are committed to making that learning process a good and engaging experience.

A problem-solving approach guided the design of their curriculum teaching the Hebrew alphabet, reading, writing and language. The learning strategies specifically anticipate common reading difficulties and counteract them with challenging activities and exercises. As a result of Sarah and David’s ‘user friendliness’, a child’s need for spirit and snap in his or her reading materials has at last been recognized and rewarded.

The series of books and CDs can also serve as solid refreshers for adults who have been away from the Hebrew alphabet and Hebrew reading for many years.
