The Sarah & David Method is deceptively simple. It’s a wealth of teaching techniques and activities cleverly disguised as FUN to help children (and adults) learn to read Hebrew.
With Sarah & David’s fresh and completely novel approach, students learn to read, write and even speak Hebrew while having a great time.
And teachers, you can help your students laugh and learn their way through the aleph bet more readily than you ever thought was possible. That makes the Sarah & David method the Jewish Educator’s dream! It makes the aleph bet accessible to all.
And just wait till you see how engaging Hebrew Letters can really be!
Of course it will be the TEACHERS who bring Sarah & David to life for their students. Ramp up your language teaching approach. ‘Cool and Clear’ is now the way to learn and appreciate Hebrew… and absolutely anyone you know can accomplish it.

Notes to Teachers
A page of relevant notes appears on page four in each of the Hebrew Reading Workbooks. The comments draw the teacher’s attention to the skills being introduced in the book and highlight topics the teacher should be aware of before teaching the material. |
Progress Charts
These charts can be used to demonstrate visually how far a student has progressed in a reading book – or how far an entire class has progressed in their Hebrew lessons. There is one chart for each of the books in the reading curriculum. |
Answer Keys
These answer keys provide the answers to all of the Activity Pages in the reading curriculum (writing pages not included). |

Transliteration
Transliteration is available for the 'I Can Speak Hebrew Pages' of the reading curriculum and for the entire Sarah and David Picture Book.
If necessary, use the transliteration to support correct pronunciation of the Hebrew words. Parents can also be directed to this section to help with reading homework. We recommend that students not be shown the transliterated form of Hebrew. |
Certificates of Completion
Recognize students' sense of accomplishment as they complete another book in the Read Hebrew curriculum. It makes finishing a book an achievement and occasion that students look forward to. There’s a certificate of completion for each one the five reading workbooks. |
Games & Charts
Learn the Hebrew Alephbet by playing Charades or use the Multisensory Chart that Ann Litwack, a teacher from Northern California, created to add movement to learning the letters using The Aleph Bet Story. Your students can act out the aleph bet as they read the story! - read more
